IPHM Accredited Sound Bath Facilitator Training
October–November 2026 | The Goddess Haven at The Conscious Breath, Kingswood, BS15 1AZ
Learn to confidently, safely and professionally facilitate your own group sound baths through an in-depth training pathway combining teaching, hands-on practice, observation, case studies and practical assessment.
This isn’t a one-day course designed simply to give you a certificate. Becoming a professional facilitator involves much more than learning how to play a singing bowl.
You’ll have time to learn your instruments, understand how to create and hold a complete sound journey, explore safe and trauma-aware practice, develop your own facilitation style, practise between sessions and receive real feedback before being assessed.
Your certification represents demonstrated competence, not simply attendance.
Course Structure & Dates
Saturday 3 October | 1–5pm
Week 1 – Foundations of Sound & Sound Bath Facilitation
Sound, vibration, resonance, the role of the facilitator and the foundations of creating a sound journey, with practical instrument work.
Saturday 10 October | 1–5pm
Week 2 – Crystal & Tibetan/Himalayan Singing Bowls
Playing techniques, tone, resonance, dynamics, layering, transitions and creating flow.
Saturday 17 October | 1–5pm
Week 3 – Rhythm, Drums & Chimes
Working with rhythm, pulse, drums, seed chimes, graduated chimes and tubular chimes, and learning how to integrate them into a sound journey.
Saturday 24 October | 1–5pm
Week 4 – Gongs, Safety & Professional Practice
Gong technique alongside contraindications and precautions, trauma-aware facilitation, consent, boundaries, accessibility, participant care and professional practice.
Practice Period – from 25 October
You’ll then have dedicated time to consolidate what you’ve learned before your case studies.
Students can come to The Goddess Haven by appointment to practise using our instruments, so you do not need to own a complete sound-bath setup to take part.
You’ll also be able to attend 2–4 Goddess Haven sound baths, Friday Wind Down and/or Sunday Chill, to observe professional facilitation or participate as a receiver.
Case Studies – Week of 7 November
You’ll facilitate two 30-minute case-study sound baths: one centred around crystal singing bowls and one around Tibetan/Himalayan bowls, with the option to incorporate gong, drum and chimes. You may bring up to 5 friends/family to enjoy.
Case-study times will be arranged individually at a mutually suitable time between student and assessor during the designated week.
Final Assessment – Week of 14 November
You’ll plan, set up and facilitate a full one-hour sound bath, demonstrating your ability to bring your learning together safely, confidently and professionally.
Assessment times will again be individually arranged between student and assessor during the designated week.
If you’re not quite ready to be signed off as competent on your first assessment, you’ll receive constructive feedback, further practice time and one reassessment free of charge.
What Your Training Includes
Your £495 course fee includes 16 hours of face-to-face teaching, comprehensive student handbook and independent learning, extensive hands-on instrument practice, access to Goddess Haven instruments for additional practice by appointment, attendance at 2–4 Friday Wind Down/Sunday Chill sound baths, two case-study sound baths with participant feedback, an individual one-hour final practical assessment, one free reassessment if required, and certification following successful completion.
More Than a Certificate
The aim of this training is to prepare you to step into the field of professional group sound therapy with genuine knowledge, practical experience and confidence.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Learn → Practise → Observe & Experience → Case Study → Reflect → Assess → Qualify
You don’t need to already own a huge collection of instruments, and you don’t need previous facilitation experience.
You simply need to be willing to learn, practise and develop.
