Waning Moon in Scorpio → Sagittarius → Capricorn

Well… that was a lot of moon…

If last week felt emotionally intense, energetically loud, or just generally a bit like the universe put you on spin cycle, you’re not imagining it. That full moon eclipse energy had quite the reputation, and judging by the conversations I’ve had with many of you this week, it certainly lived up to it!

The beautiful thing about the lunar cycle though is that nothing stays at full intensity forever.

This week we move into the waning phase of the moon, the time of integration, reflection, and gentle release. The pressure eases slightly. The emotional tides settle. We begin to understand what last week was actually showing us.

Think of this week as the energetic equivalent of sitting down with a warm drink after a very eventful evening. You don’t need to do anything dramatic.

Just breathe. Reflect. And let things land.

This Week’s Lunar Flow

Sunday – Waning Moon in Scorpio

We begin the week still in Scorpio, which honestly feels quite appropriate after the emotional rollercoaster of last week.

Scorpio energy invites us to process rather than suppress. It asks us to sit with the deeper truths that surfaced rather than rushing to distract ourselves from them.

A gentle Scorpio ritual:

Light a candle and sit quietly for a moment.

Ask yourself: What did last week reveal to me?

It may have been about boundaries.

Relationships.

Your own energy levels.

Or something you’ve quietly known for a long time.

Write one sentence about what you learned.

That alone is powerful magic.

Tuesday – Sagittarius Fire

By Tuesday the moon moves into Sagittarius, and the atmosphere begins to feel lighter.

Sagittarius energy reminds us that life continues moving forward, and that growth doesn’t have to feel heavy forever.

If Scorpio is the deep emotional processing, Sagittarius is the moment we start lifting our head and looking ahead again.

Sagittarius ritual idea:

Step outside if you can.

Take three deep breaths and stretch your arms wide, like you’re greeting the sky.

Say aloud:

“I welcome new horizons.

I trust the journey ahead.”

Bonus points if you go for a walk afterwards.

Sagittarius loves movement.

Friday – Capricorn Grounding

By Friday the moon settles into Capricorn, bringing us back into steadiness.

Capricorn energy is practical, calm, and quietly powerful. After emotional waves and fiery inspiration, Capricorn asks:

Okay… what do we actually want to build now?

A simple Capricorn practice:

Write down three small intentions for the next two weeks.

Not huge life goals.

Just simple steps.

Things you can realistically begin.

Capricorn reminds us that progress rarely happens through dramatic leaps.

It happens through small, consistent movement forward.

Looking Ahead: Preparing for Ostara

While we’re still in early March, something beautiful is approaching on the horizon.

Ostara – the Spring Equinox!

This is the moment in the Wheel of the Year when day and night come into balance, before the light begins to fully take the lead. It represents renewal, fertility, and the awakening of the earth after winter’s rest.

Across many pagan traditions, Ostara celebrates the return of life and the promise of growth, symbolised by flowers, eggs, seeds, and the first stirrings of spring.

If you’d like to begin preparing for Ostara over the coming weeks, here are a few gentle ideas:

🌱 Plant seeds

Literally or symbolically. Seeds represent intention and growth.

🌼 Bring spring flowers into your home

Daffodils, crocuses, or snowdrops are perfect seasonal allies.

🥚 Decorate eggs or create seasonal altar pieces

Eggs have long been symbols of fertility and new beginnings.

🌞 Spend time noticing the balance of light and dark

The equinox reminds us that both are necessary for growth.

You don’t have to wait until the exact day of the equinox to start celebrating the energy of renewal. Spring is already whispering its arrival.

Featured Gathering

The Witch’s Year – A Journey Through the Seasons

Ostara Circle – Sunday 22nd March

One of the most beautiful ways to honour this seasonal shift is to experience it in community.

Our Ostara gathering at Willsbridge Mill is part of the Wheel of the Year series, where we mark the turning of the seasons through ritual, creativity, and reflection.

During the Ostara circle we will:

🌱 Plant symbolic spring seeds

🧶 Create a spell cord to hold seasonal intentions

🎶 Experience a heart-opening sound meditation

It’s a gentle evening to reconnect with nature’s rhythms and welcome the new season with intention. You can join a single sabbat or journey through the whole Witch’s Year.

You can find the details here:

The Witch’s Year – A Journey through the Seasons

A gentle reminder:

If the eclipse week left you feeling tired, emotional, or slightly like you’ve lived three months in seven days…

You’re not alone.

The waning moon reminds us that rest and reflection are part of the cycle too.

Spring is arriving, yes.

But even the earth takes its time waking up.

And so can you.

Intention for the Week Ahead

“As the moon softens and the light returns,

I release what is complete

and prepare the soil for what is ready to grow.”

Until next week

With love
