Waning Moon → New Moon → First Sparks of Movement
We’re standing in that late-winter threshold, the quiet hinge between what has been and what is about to return.
The light is staying a little longer, the air is shifting., the earth hasn’t burst into bloom yet, but it’s stretching beneath the surface and if you’re paying attention, you can feel it in yourself too.
This week opens under a waning moon in Capricorn moving into Aquarius, the final breath before reset, the lunar cycle is closing, the slate is softening, the soil is loosening just enough to welcome something new.
We are not in the depths anymore, we are in the thaw… And thawing is hopeful work!
The world is asking for productivity. Nature is asking for patience. The nervous system is negotiating somewhere in the middle, so this week is not about rushing forward. It’s about hopeful participation. Slow steps toward the light. Conscious noticing. Gentle re-entry into life again. Not sprinting… Stretching.
🌙 Sunday–Monday
Waning Moon in Capricorn → Aquarius
Release the scaffolding
The waning phase is the exhale of the moon cycle. The final clearing. Capricorn helps us notice what structures are no longer supporting us. Aquarius asks what future we’re actually walking toward.
This is a beautiful time to release expectations, especially the ones you quietly carry about who you “should” be by now.
You are not behind. You are becoming.
The Clearing Breath
Sit comfortably. One hand on chest, one on belly.
Inhale for 4
Pause for 2
Exhale for 6
On the exhale, imagine old pressure draining from your body like ink dissolving in water.
Whisper:
I release what no longer carries me forward.
Repeat seven times.
🌑 Tuesday – New Moon in Aquarius
A future-facing reset. This new moon is not about grand gestures. It’s about quiet alignment.
Aquarius energy invites innovation, authenticity, and subtle rebellion, the kind where you gently stop pretending and start telling the truth to yourself.
New moon intentions this week are less about goals and more about identity:
Who am I allowing myself to become?
New Moon Ritual: The Seed of Becoming
You’ll need:
• A small bowl of water
• A candle
• A scrap of paper
• A pen
Write one sentence:
This year I allow myself to become…
Let it arrive. Don’t force it.
Light the candle. Read it aloud. Fold the paper and touch it to the bowl of water.
Say: I plant this within me. May it grow in its own timing.
Keep the paper somewhere safe. This is not a wish. It’s a permission slip.
Wednesday – Moon in Pisces
Listen to the undercurrent
Pisces reminds us that not everything moves in straight lines. Some growth happens in dreams, feelings, and quiet intuition.
If you can get outside this week, notice water, puddles, frost melting, damp earth, morning mist. If you can’t go out, look out of a window and simply observe the sky for two minutes.
Clouds are a form of meditation.
Pisces days are for soft noticing. No forcing.
Window Practice: Sit with a warm drink. Watch the world without naming or judging it. Just colours. Shapes. Movement.
Let your nervous system remember it belongs to a larger rhythm.
Friday – Moon in Aries
The first spark Here’s the shift!
Aries doesn’t ask for permission. It moves. This is the first real ignition after weeks of inward work.
Preferably not a bonfire… Maybe a matchstick.
One small bold action:
• Send the message
• Book the thing
• Take the class
• Speak the truth
• Start the project
• Wear the outfit
• Step outside the comfort cocoon
You do not have to change your life this week. You just have to lean toward it.
Mini Aries Ritual
Stand up. Shake your hands. Shake your arms. Shake your body like an animal shaking off water.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale with sound – a sigh, a hum, a whisper, or if you’re alone… a whole warrior yell!
Movement tells the nervous system that we are alive and we are safe to act.
A note for late winter
This is the season where hope returns quietly. Some people feel a surge of energy. Others still feel wrapped in fog. Both are valid, this is a staggered awakening, not a synchronized one.
Late winter doesn’t demand bloom, it invites curiosity. If you cannot get outside this week, look for signs of movement indoors:
• A plant leaning toward the light
• Steam rising from a kettle
• Dust drifting in a sunbeam
• Your own breath warming the air
Life is moving again and so are you.
Even gently counts.
Intention for the week
I emerge in my own timing.
I honour the quiet and the spark.
I trust the season within me.
Until next week,
With love and returning light,
Marie xx
