This is not a quick “fill a jar and leave” craft. Instead, this workshop offers space to slow down, reflect, and consciously create something that supports your emotional, energetic, and spiritual well being.
We’ll begin the evening with a gentle grounding, helping everyone arrive into the space calmly and safely.
The workshop itself is open-ended and relaxed. You’re welcome to work at your own pace, some people move through the process quickly, others take more time with reflection and intention. You’re free to leave when you feel complete, rather than being held to a strict finish time.
A spell jar is a symbolic, intention-based tool created by combining meaningful ingredients, such as herbs, salts, crystals, words, and symbols, into a physical object that represents a chosen focus or desire.
Rather than being about superstition, spell jars can be understood as:
A way of focusing the mind on a clear intention
A physical anchor for emotional or energetic work
A ritual practice that supports self-reflection and empowerment
A reminder of your own agency, boundaries, hopes, and healing
People use spell jars to support intentions such as protection, calm, confidence, emotional healing, creativity, abundance, or boundary-setting. They may be placed on an altar, kept in the home, carried, or used as part of ongoing personal ritual.
In this workshop, spell jars are approached as tools of self-empowerment and symbolism, not fear-based practice. You’ll be supported to create something meaningful, ethical, and grounded.
As this workshop falls just after Ostara, the spring equinox, the energy of the evening will naturally lean towards themes of renewal, growth, intention-setting, and gentle forward movement.
Spring is traditionally a time for planting seeds, both literally and symbolically. This workshop offers a supportive space to reflect on what you wish to nurture, grow, release, or call in for the season ahead.
You’re still completely free to choose any intention that feels right for you, but if you’re unsure where to begin, the seasonal energy of spring can offer a gentle starting point.
Understanding intention in spellwork

Each participant will create:

You’ll be guided to choose a focus that feels safe and grounded, such as:

You’ll work with a wide range of materials including herbs, salts, botanicals, resins, crystal chips, oils, symbolic elements, charms, and tags.
To support your choices, herb and crystal reference cards will be available, helping you blend both intuition and understanding.
Candles for sealing, all materials, and herbal tea are provided.

There is absolutely no expectation to make more. This is simply an option for those who wish to.
